In other words, a portable storage shed would be something of a size that can be moved with normal equipment, and a standard permit.

Most portable storage building manufacturers will build in standard sizes that are easily movable for them, but most will also build larger buildings on site. If you decide on something that must be built on site, you will probably not be able to purchase the building through a rent to own program, which is something to keep in mind if you are thinking of going that route.
